Narrow Leaf Ash Tree Removal
Project Type: Tree Removal
Location: Eugene, Oregon
Project Description:
This project involved the complete removal of a large, mature Narrow Leaf Ash tree from a residential backyard in Eugene. The tree had grown to a significant height with a prominent multi-stem fork in the upper trunk, creating additional complexity in the removal process. The confined backyard setting, bordered by a wood privacy fence, dense flowering shrubs, a Japanese maple, and a neighboring structure, required the tree to be carefully sectioned and lowered in pieces rather than felled in a single drop.
Tim’s crew used a rope and harness system to access the upper canopy, working methodically from the top down to safely dismantle each section without impacting the surrounding landscape. Equipment was staged on-site to handle debris efficiently as sections came down. Once the main trunk was cleared, the stump was ground below grade, leaving the yard clean and ready for the homeowner’s next project.
The result was a clean removal in a space that left very little margin for error, completed safely and with the surrounding plantings left undamaged.
Project Highlights:
- Safe, sectional removal in a confined residential backyard
- Multi-stem upper trunk required careful rigging and sequenced cuts
- Work performed in close proximity to a structure, fence, and established plantings
